Dad will be remembered for his playfulness, sense of humour, his passion, engagement, opinions, kindness, consideration and generosity. He was one half of the dynamic and fantastically loving partnership that has been going since he met my mother in 1952, and that gave us, his children, the beautiful unconditional love that only parents can give, and the loving home and supportive upbringing that made us who we are.

Dad's torment and physical struggle with his brain cancer is now over. His spirit left his body last Monday night but will continue its journey in us and through us. He was surrounded and enveloped by love that he gave rise to. We shall not see his like again, but we are lucky and grateful to have had him as our father.
May your onward journey be filled with light Dad!

There will be a ceremony in the Chapel of the Norwood Park Crematorium, Sandford Street, Mitchell, on Monday, 4 July 2016 at 3pm. No flowers, please. Jean and family request that those attending make a donation to a charity or a good cause of their choosing.
